Objective
The Financial Times hold regular annual conferences for the entire FT Group.
For the last two years, we have been asked to produce a video to be played at the end of the day,
featuring content that is related to the conference and is also light hearted.
Solution
On both occasions we began with a storyboard, to show the FT how we would like to produce the video.
We then produced a DVD (with extras) that featured the conference delegates being interviewed throughout the day.
In a very informal interview format, we were able to elicit some really entertaining answers.
As the video needed to be completely edited and authored within just seven hours, we also added some pre-edited title videos and music in the days before the shoot.
The interview footage was edited throughout the day using our portable Final Cut suite and, as a result, the DVD was authored with time to spare. We also added a bonus “outtakes” section.
Results
The DVD was well received and provided a humorous end to a long day. And the video was also featured on the company intranet for employees who were unable to attend. We were booked again.
